There's a no kill shelter here in town that is having hard times like all the charities but also cause the oil spill caused some of her sponsors to go out of business, and they are about to go under.

A friend of mine Dawn Avello that used to work at 99Rocks when I had my wreck and used to listen to my stories from la La land at night used to volonteer there. I can't take any more dogs LOL, but I wanted to try and help the out and it's a drive but just by chance only a mile from my Dentist whom I'm gonna have to be making a few trips to see starting Valentines day LOL, it was either that or my 50th Birthday on the 16th and that just would have been the proverbial icing on the cake hahaha.

If I see one black wreath or balloon....

Anyways I stopped by and video taped the facilities that were well kept and didn't have the scent of dog at all, and a friend of mine did the editing for a You Tube vid for thier webpage to try and help them out in a round about way.

If it wasn't so far I'd volonteer to be a dog walker but I'd brother end up adopting half of them hahhaha!

I love the no-kill shelter where I live, the people are friendly, the animals are well taken care of, and the facilities are always clean. I would have adopted there except I took in a stray cat who I am now inseparable with. I try to volunteer whenever possible and they appreciate anything you can do.

RT my poodles I bred for my wife because she is so ill and I give into most any whim she has, and they are small enough not to hurt her when they get up in bed with her. Dogs are very theraputic, exccept when they bark a lot LOL, but in my life I have probably had 20 some dogs at least and all but my Great Dane Zoe, favorite dog ever, were strays that found me.

For a long time when I first bought the farm and my buildings were new looking I fenced off a good sized kennel, an acre maybe, and had some dogs up there with a claw tub bath I rigged with a toilet bowl rebuild kit so it was always full, and a hopper that held 100 pounds of dog food with a moat around it that caught the water running out of the tub, which kept the fire ants out of it. I was usually there every day and kept them up there cause they kept all my stuff safe, it's 40 acres and was pretty isolated back then, but people started dropping dog's off I am sure cause I collected about 7 at one time LOL.

It ticked me off that people would just let a dog loose in my driveway but I found homes for them cause I was back in college at the time.

Eventually we started doing the house flipping thing, I got tired of school for the fourth or fifth time, really ticked the Mary off LOL, cause she tsught College for 28 years.... but I built a kennel on this lot cause we lived next door but bought two lots, moved mine home, where I preferred them, and rented the cabin out and most of the tenenets in there had dogs and the tenents used the pen and never had anything stolen from the place.

I'm fencing off the back yard right now, my Dad just visited, and I'm building another pen and stairs for the poodles to come and go to, so I should make a post while I'm here!

I really mean to get off FaceBook and back over here, I miss my old friends of long ago.

There are some fascinating cut-off dates on this aritlce but I don’t know if I see all of them heart to heart. There may be some validity but I will take hold opinion until I look into it further. Good aritlce , thanks and we want extra! Added to FeedBurner as nicely
