Sep. 7th, 2009 @ 09:12 am I've Never had a Cast
Geez a few days with this dressing on and I'm going bonkers wanting to scratch it. Somehow I never broke any bones except fingers and toes and my skull so I never had to wear one but I see the reason for coat hangers now LOL.

Gonna teach a ten year old to weld today his dad is bringing him by so I can fix the back bumper of his truck and I have some scrap steel to let the boy play with.

By the time he's 12 he'll be able to charge money for fixing and fabricating things I promise.

We had apparently more rain Saturday than I thought and for some reason all the water from the road decided to by pass the humungous ditch and instead go down the drive way to the trailer my wife used as an office years ago and she rents out so I probably need to write myself a note to call the county and see if they can put some dolomite down where the driveway meets the road so its high enough to send the water into the gully as it's meant to. All the hurricanes and stuff in the past never washed the yard away but this left a foot deep gully almost to the front door and washed a big sand dune to it.

I ask for a backhoe every Christmas but so far no luck...

Not even a model of one LOL.

I do have a wheel barrow though.

I am so envious of that 10-yr-old, you have NO idea.

Of course, at this point, my hands are unsteady enough it would be a very bad idea to take up and learn welding. Sigh.

Hope you don't have to wear the dressing too much longer!

I go back and get the stitches out and hopefully I'll be done with it but I'm betting he puts it right back on since he had to cut out a marge larger piece than he thought.

Of course that means once I'm home again I'd probobly find some work to do inside like the mouldings I never finished and just put it on when I sleep...
