Ack! That's a big sucker, for a coral snake anyway. I think; I'm not sure what that is you're grabbing it with.

Tongs for grabbing Jars LOL

It's really tricky to get a skinny snake with them because the jaws are the wrong shape. It was for when the wife was able to go to the grocery store so it's not going to be used as intended anymore so if I remember I'll revamp it for snake use.

I almost droped the thing on my hand trying to get it into a tupperware jar then it suddenly accorded to me I had dropped it a dozen times already so I had the sense to put the jar on the ground LOL.

It's definately an adult and they have a neuro toxin more like a Cobra then a hemotoxin like the rattler that bit me.

Getting hit on the head made me forgetfull but not that forgetfull so I've learned to use tongs or a stick now...

Oh yeah; I grew up in FL and then moved back after college, so I'm familiar with the freaky-scary coral suckers. Fortunately their venom is in their back fangs, so most of them don't have a mouth large enough to actually bite and envenom a person (maybe a pinky finger, or a toe). The only one I've ever seen outside of a zoo was the size of a large earthworm, clearly a baby, but even so the adults don't get all that big either.

But that guy looks pretty big.
