Mar. 20th, 2009 @ 07:45 pm A Crow said Mike
I swear it's true I was standing on the back deck looking at Spring early this morning and I heard my name called out I responded to the caregiver in the kitchen "What"?

No answer.

I waited a bit then went into the house and said what again and notice no one is there and from behind me I hear Mike called again so back out back I walk thinking she went outside to look for me and no one is there again I met a man who wasn't there and something about a stair...

I stared out and saw a single crow in a tree just watching me it made a noise.

It made a bunch of noises actually the bird had a repertoire.

Once again I hear Mike and it's clear.

Clear it's the bird but up close reality shows me it's making a sound clearly similar to Mike but not quite though obviously close enough to fool my old ears the first few times and it picked me up and then a second sign a few hours later when I read a poem someone posted so I got up and moved in the sun and did yard work and felt normal.

You never know what you'll seas when you look upon the trees...

Eye Spy! Up On?

I'm glad you found the crow was the source...pretty freaky!

When I lived in San Antonio, there were mockingbirds there who did accurate renditions of reville and taps - obviously learned from the loudspeakers on the military bases. Here in Austin, they do car alarms and cell phone ring tones!

Yesterday, I had the patio door open, and a male cardinal got into a singing contest with my male parakeet, kind of a dueling banjos sort of thing. Went on for 15 minutes!

That cat looks like he's in an easy chair!

It was beginning to drive me bonkers especially after I realized how early it was, so the caregiver hadn't actually gotten there yet and the wife was still sound asleep lol.

The cat spends hours at a time in that tree ever since she was a kitten.
