I'm still sanding the floors.

Everytime I sand it and notice a crack I grab the wood filler and if I'm fixing one spot I may as well get the one next to it and then I get sucked into that OCD vortex and well geez I better sand all this wood filler off and the day is all used up and still I sTand.

I can stand it still or I can't stand still but moving on...

I'm probobly filling things that the urethane would get on the first coat but it's like walking though the yard and seeing a weed,

I just have to stop and fix it.

my trick!!

It is time to put on some extra thick socks and skate around the floor. That's what I did when we refinished the floors in our old house. Any rough spots will stand out. If you don't find any you can be finished and get to the next step.

You can really sand forever if you aren't careful. There is no way to really get out all of the cracks. You are right that the polyurethane will fill in any little cracks. We out 4 coats on ours - could have used the dining room as a bowling alley when we were done!!

Besides it is a lot of fun and will give you a break.

I could have been done a week ago?

Yeah I guess I keep thinking if I miss something I'll have to look at it forever. I should be done with the drum sander today and I might have someone that can help on Friday sanding the edges so I'm hoping to start putting the urethane down next week.
