Nov. 27th, 2010 @ 09:56 pm I Pondered
I've got the Handivan pretty much done except for painting it blue and got a 12 foot enclosed trailer so we can haul stuff around if we take a trip but I figured if I had a trailer I may as well be able to use it for anything so I wired it up like an RV so my generater can power it, and added a 12 volt system for lighting and to run the backup camera and have it set to take power from the battery in it or from the truck when the lights and had the sense to isolate the batteries from each other with diodes so I don't accidently try charging the battery in the trailer and pop the fuse for the lights...

I cut the buss in the service panel in half so I could stick a trickle charger for the battery in there that runs anytime the gernerator is going and have solar cells coming for when it's just sitting there, put in a backup camera and a big flood light reinforced the walls and floors with a second layer of 5/8 plywood glued and screwed then added 2 dozen anchors so I can tie most anything I want in place, painted it bright white in high gloss oil base enamal so I could see, then painted the floor light brown so I couldn't see

the footprints and dirt and powdered it with sand with my sand blaster while the floor was wet so it has a non slip surface.

I'm gonna have to find something else to do pretty soon, maybe I'll get back to the tornadoe bunker...
