Oddly enough all the water and winds hit the Counties to the left and right of me and we got about 2 inches of rain according to the bucket I left in the drive. I thought we'd get some real rain and I'm not complaining we didn't but there is a valley of concrete next to both ends of my road long buried and I had the bright Idea that if I dug a strip to the concrete so the water could pick uup some speed it would pull the loose sand down the street and fill in the low spots accross from me that fill with ten inches of rain since the road is now higher. I had planted centipede there just so I wouldn't have to mow it and was hoping if the sand washed down to it the grass would float upright and grow through real quick where if I asked the county to please fill in the hole they'd plant it with Bahia that springs spikes up a foot tall after every rain...

Call me lazy it seemed like such a good idea except without any serious rain again not complaining I'm now sort of obligated to tidy this all up by hand now and my hands got soft the last few months taking care of the wife and are covered in torn shovelin blisters...

I'll fix it.

Blisters...owie! I wish my town would dig out the drainage down my street...I live at the end of a road at the bottom of a steep hill and every heavy rain washes all manner of crap down onto my property, and sometimes if the rain is very heavy, sends waves through my front door. Although I think I might have fixed that last one on my own by cutting two trenches...still, it makes a huge muddy mess of my front entry.
