Jun. 7th, 2009 @ 05:13 pm It all Seemed so Simple Back Then....

I high jacked the water jet and have been using it to clear the ground under the cabin so it's a foot off the ground like it was when I first built it and then replace the bit of floor under the bathroom and kitchen area, get it retreated for termites even though I haven't seen a single live one so the first treatment did well but that was 9 years ago or so which is why I replaced all the other floor way back then and used only treated lumber. While I'm at it I'm going to sink 3 more 4 by 4's on each side in concrete and bolt them solid to the perimeter just because.

I've got it clear enough to see completely underneath it and enough I could crawl on my back to check for any other damage but it all looks good to go. I'll blast out a few more inches then I'll try using the grouting device I made also for the bunker to shoot 2 inches of concrete over it all so in the future I can just clean it out with a leaf blower and I've got some piece of extra heavy steel corrugated roofing to go on the 3 high sides to keep the rain from washing under their and I might be able to get 10 more years out of it.

I built the thing from recycled wood long ago and the rent on it eventually paid the farm off so now I'm free to just stare at the trees....

PS: Can I dig a hole or what?
