Feb. 26th, 2008 @ 09:31 am What a Difference a Week Makes
I wasn't sure if it was a week or three but checked my notes and in a week I can lift my arm above my head and hold it for 15 minutes at a time.

I cut my pain meds to a third.

I can lay on the bed watching TV with my right arm behind my head and no more pain than normal.

Background pain is always with me so many busted parts but I have a high high tolerance.

The doctor shot photos using his scope for me and even gave me a video of the procedure, super nice man.

The vid isn't terribly exciting unless your a medical student but I'll try and get it on You Tube later today.

I've been actually sick for a few days flu like symptoms I haven't had for 30 years fever and chills at the same time but it is going away I feel this change from yesterday to today and I can breath through my nose again.

Keep Moving.

I declined an TV interview about getting transfered while running and talking to 911 last week then transfered and forced to repeat all my words.

People need to work together not sit and point fingers at each other.

If we can't learn to all work together in a small town how can we expect to do it globally.

Help your neighbors even when no one watches...

Surgery

Surgery Inside

This vid has a tiny amount of blood in it and is shot with a camera on a probe inside my shoulder.

Hi Mike,

Wendella here. Was chatting with you the other day with Treece and Caleb. Came on over here to read more of your journal writing. I think you could certainly write your own book. A lot of it is right here in your very own blog. Interesting read for the most part. Enjoy the humour and wit you possess.

Good luck with your book.

Wendy

Great pix and glad to hear you are recovering well. Have you tried DHEA for healing? I had good results recovering from RSI and a number of other contributing issues with high doses of anti-oxidants (vitamin C and alpha lipoic acid, mostly), glucosamine/chondroitin, and DHEA. Really good for the joints...but takes between 2 weeks and 3 months to show effects (the worse off you are, the faster the effects show up). Wishing you a continued recovery, and I second the idea that you should write a book...I'm a professional writer/editor/illustrator, so if you decide to publish, let me know!

I'll need to google that.

Honestly it would probobly take me five to ten to write a book...

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dehydroepiandrosterone

It is a hormone precursor - the master molecule from which almost all of the most important naturally occurring hormones and steroids are derived. In cases of adrenal exhaustion (most Americans are in some stage of adrenal exhaustion due to overwork, not enough sleep, and too much stress), production of this master molecule declines, leading to a decreased ability to heal and recover from stress or injury. In normal individuals, an occasional boost can be had from DHEA taken during times when sustained high performance is needed or to recover from an unusual stress.

Ghost writer=no credit, not much pay, if any...sure why not? ;o)

Lots of authors don't write; they dictate on tape.

Hey thanks for the Info!

I think I've had Adrenal Exhaustion at times...

Hahahhha! @ Low Pay No Credit.

Post a list of your books if you like with links while I'm getting all this traffic.

My theory on the book has been to get the Discovery Channel here for the bunker project, get my face out there and wait for a publisher to contact me.

A simple bank shot around the 8 ball LOL.

Just by chance they will actually be here soon to do a new series on green living and one of the developments at the beach is being featured.

It's supposed to air in April I think.

It will be hard not to drive down and watch and get in the way and I've already contacted the architects LOL.

... of the surgery. Cool that you managed to get it filmed and are able to share it.

Mike said, "It will be hard not to drive down and watch and get in the way and I've already contacted the architects LOL."

Oooh you are proactive, aren't ye? lol

Have no doubt though that in time I may just get to watch footage of the bunker project on Discover Channel too. Okis.. crossing mi fingers for ya... or... Do you suppose your supporters could run over there and put a little buzz in their ear too?

Fingers Crossed

(Permanent Link)
I'm actually getting ready to run a spoof campaign to elect me for the next Discovery Reality Show, The Top Secret Bunker, LOL.

The cable company here is gonna give me a deal and I'm trying to get some on 99Rocks streaming audio.

http://player.cumulusstreaming.com/Play.html?WKSM-FM

My plan is to get people to write Discovery saying they want to see it.

The first time I contacted Discovery shortly after the wreck I faxed a one page note to 14 vice presidents and got an email back telling me how to register as a producer.

I was trying to get In a Fix, Town Hall, and two other shows to come to DeFuniak and tie them all together with my stepson getting married in the house.

I mentioned a few of the times I almost died in the note and just by Coincidence they came out with the show I Should not be Alive 7 months later LOL.

Kind of odd huh?

Hey, mebbe next coincidence will have you with a starring role! Now wouldn’t that be cool. *smile*

99 Rocks: Video not opening for me.. Am I supposed to be able to hear the radio broadcast? Will you keep us posted about the campaign? Neat plan.

Register as a producer: LOL

Stepson getting married… what about an additional tactic… approach wedding shows. WE channel runs a variety of those.

“Help your neighbors even when no one watches...” Great sentiment… needs more widespread publishing. “When No One’s Watching” seems like a great title for a show that could showcase positive things ppl do just because.

Off to read more of your posts *smile*
